About
In honor of Black Music Month, we welcome you to virtually join the Paul Robeson Galleries on Thursday, June 25th at 6:30 pm as we celebrate Newark’s rich Black music legacy. Hosted by Nia I’man Smith, the evening will feature an interactive presentation highlighting musicians from Newark whose music illustrates the role of ancestor veneration in Black music as a form of honoring the past, being in conversation with the present, and envisioning the future.
RSVP required. Zoom details will be sent via email 24 hours before the program.
