About
Brick City Collective is a core group of seven culturally diverse Newark-rooted multimedia artists, writers, editors, and activists, more than half of whom are Rutgers alumni. Inspired by the exhibition, Object Lessons, this program will explore how the changes resulting from Newark’s “renaissance” necessitate a re-acclimation to sites and objects considered “home” and how this impacts one’s educational, professional, and personal goals, as well as broader issues of citizenship.
