Celebrating Black History Month, this exhibition of nine folk artists working in painting and sculpture have been borrowed from the collections of Roger Ricco, the Luise RossGallery, and the Calvin Morris Gallery.Most of the work has a strong intuitive presence probably resulting from the non-academic background of these “folk” or “outsider” artists.Includes the work of Jesse Aaron, LeRoy Almon, Bessie Harvey, William Hawkins, J.B. Murry, Juanita Rogers, James Thomas, Mose Tolliver, and Bill Traylor.
