About
We’re re-imaging everyday objects as resources for creating joyous sound and rhythm. Featuring the Brazilian caxixi and maracas as our inspiration, participants will make musical instruments out of recycled water bottles and, using a mixture and painting and collage, will imbue them with rich color, pattern and meaning. Required materials include found objects that can be sourced from home to keep them out of the landfills and to be transformed into symbols of positive, creative energy; and Aleene’s Fast Grab Tacky Glue or any other fast drying brand to secure the cap to the bottle.
All ages welcome. Especially encouraged are parents and young artists working together. RSVP required. Zoom details will be sent via email confirmation.
