Why do artists make self portraits? Elementary aged students are invited to this free, interactive virtual workshop. For inspiration, you will learn about works from the 2018 PRG exhibition Mirror Mirror. Then, Artist Educators Rachel Alban and Stephen Batiz will guide you in making your own self portrait collages made from materials you have on hand at home. RSVP required. Zoom details will be sent via confirmation email.
Materials:
Paper/construction paper/tissue paper
Magazines or catalogs that you can cut up
Scissors
Glue stick
Drawing materials such as pen, pencil, markers
If available, other decorative materials such as stickers, stamps, patterned paper, or ribbon may be used.
