About

A mobile photography practice can help you discover your surroundings in new ways, cultivate your own style, and break the monotony of your days with creativity – and all you need is the camera on your phone*. We have put together some mobile photography ideas you can do while you’re at home to help you start or build on your mobile photography practice.

For inspiration, we will first look at the work of photographers exhibited in the PRG exhibition The Shadows of Houses, which explores the themes of history and home. Then, Artist Educators Rachel Alban and Stephen Batiz will guide you in making and improving your own mobile photos. Topics include: framing and composition, using light and shadow to create mood and depth, as well as free photo editing apps. RSVP required. Zoom details will be sent via email confirmation.

Main supplies:

-A fully charged smart phone with mobile camera and enough memory space for new photos.

* If you do not have a smart phone, any digital camera can work. Just let us know ahead of time, and please make sure the battery is charged and you have space on your memory card.

If possible, in advance of this workshop, download the following apps on your phone:
