Newark Artist Accelerator

From our friends at Project for Empty Space:

“Project for Empty Space is excited to announce our partnership with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and its Regional Regranting Program to create the Newark Artist Accelerator. This new fund will support Newark artists presently as we navigate through COVID-19. In subsequent years the NAA will focus on supporting artist projects, and furthering our city’s creative power.

For the inaugural 2020 phase, the Newark Artist Accelerator will distribute at least 45 emergency grants in the amount of $1,500 to Newark-based, multidisciplinary visual artists.  This will support artists in our community who have been significantly financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This cycle is not merit or skill-based, and is based purely on need within our artist community.

Emergency Grants will be awarded using a lottery system. The grant is live now, and can be applied to via Submittable until Friday, October 23, 2020.
