State of the Arts visits the CJ Gallery

I Might Be Next: Jerry Gant & Bryant Lebron is an exhibit loosely based on police brutality against Black people. An accompanying essay by artist and historian Nell Painter also considers the theme. Jerry Gant is an artist and spoken-word performer based in Newark, and has exhibited widely in the city and beyond for the past two decades. Artist Bryant Lebron is a December 2015 BFA graduate of Rutgers University. “It’s been such a pleasure meeting him for the first time,” says Lebron about Gant, “talking to him about art, history, education, mis-education.”
